Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 August 2026.
This notice explains what this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- Contact-form and assistant text stays in your browser unless you choose to send it by email or call us.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.
- Anonymous measurement loads only if you accept it. Decline and it stays off.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete what we hold. Email us and we will do it.
What we collect
Information you give us. The contact form and assistant prepare an email in your own email application. Golden Lab receives your name, company, email address, telephone number, and enquiry details only if you choose to send that email or contact us another way. The site does not send this text to analytics.
Browser autofill and location. Your browser may offer to fill contact details stored on your device. If you press Use current location, the browser asks permission before adding coordinates to your project brief. Golden Lab does not receive those fields or coordinates unless you choose to send the resulting email.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records ordinary server information such as the pages requested, the approximate region of the request, the browser type, and the time. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
Measurement. If you accept measurement, we use our self-hosted Umami service for anonymous page visits and non-text interaction categories such as opening the assistant or submitting a question. Questions, names, contact details, and enquiry text are never included in analytics events. If you decline or ignore the banner, no analytics script loads and no analytics events are queued. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. This site is directed at businesses and property owners.
Why we use it
| Purpose | What that means |
|---|---|
| Responding to you | Answering an enquiry, preparing a quotation, arranging a site visit |
| Providing services | Delivering and supporting the equipment and services you engage us for |
| Improving the site | Understanding which pages help and which do not, if you accepted measurement |
| Security and reliability | Keeping the site available and protecting it from abuse |
| Legal obligations | Keeping records we are required to keep |
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers who help us operate, and only so far as they need it to do that work:
| Provider | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting and delivery |
| Microsoft 365 | Company email, which is where enquiries arrive |
| Self-hosted Umami | Anonymous website measurement, only after you accept |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces used on this site. Loading a font sends your IP address to Google. No cookie is set and no measurement is performed. |
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can pick up the conversation where it left off. Records tied to work performed are kept as long as our business and tax obligations require. Measurement data is retained according to the settings on the analytics property, and it is not tied to your name.
Your choices
- See what we hold. Ask and we will tell you.
- Correct it. If something is wrong, we will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask and we will remove it, unless we are required to keep it.
- Stop hearing from us. Tell us and we will stop.
- Change your measurement choice. Use the link in the footer at any time. Withdrawing stops further site analytics events and removes the analytics script; your browser settings can clear your saved choice and any remaining site data.
We offer these to everyone who contacts us, regardless of where you live. Where a state privacy law gives you rights that go further, we will honour those too. To make a request, email inquiries@goldenlabtech.com and we will respond within forty-five days.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, the private areas require a login, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affecting personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals as required by law.
Changes
If this notice changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, say so on the site.
